Appointment is required; we will need to collect your device for a free diagnostic evaluation, or you can Mail us the device upon first contacting us.

What Data Can Be Recovered?

nWhen a drive is failing the main goal is to recover your user personal data. This includes your documents, music, photos, e-mails, address book, spreadsheets, presentations, movies etc. Operating System, Programs and applications are generally recommend to be re-installed.

What Happens to my Programs & Settings?

nThe hard drive will need to be replaced (*Please note, Hew HDD replacement part is not included in the Recovery Fees) on your computer and the operating system will need to be re-installed. The operating system is what is loaded on the computer when you first bought it. Programs such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Adobe Reader, Notepad, MS Security Essentials etc will be on your computer after the recovery is complete. Basically, any program that you installed after you purchased the computer may need to be re-installed. The data from the programs such as a Quickbooks database, Photoshop files will be recovered but the program will need to be re-installed in order to open these files. How much will it cost me?

nThe main factors that determine the cost of the recovery are how damaged the disk is and detailed of a reconstruction will be required in order to get the drive back to a point where the data can be read properly. Once the drive has been rebuilt successfully extracting your data out is generally the easiest part. Regardless of its one file or a million files the work that goes into getting the drive operational is the same. As such, the amount of data generally doesn’t affect the price.

Stage One Data Recovery?

nStage One Data Recovery process is when your hard drive is working normally but there is other damage to the device or machine that the HDD is installed in (eg. Laptop Computer) which is preventing you from accessing the data. For example, you spilled liquid on the Laptop Computer and it no longer turns on. If the drive wasn’t damaged by the liquid then this would qualify as a Stage One Recovery.

The average turnaround time for this type of recovery is 20-30 business days.

The dis assembly and repair must be done in a special environment to prevent damage to the data.     If we cannot solve your problem due to lack of technical skill you will not be charged. The terms of this policy are shown below.
    – If we diagnose a fault and we are able to fix the problem but the customer does not want the work to proceed then a charge for the time spent on the diagnosis will be charged.
 Base fee of $45
    – If we are unable to fix a fault because the customer does not want to purchase the parts necessary to repair the problem a charge for the time spent will be made. $45
    – Any problem relating to the customer purchasing an incompatible component or software that does not meet required specifications are liable to a charge of the time spent.

    Many companies will charge simply for calling to your location, we don’t believe this is a fair practice. For our onsite services you will be charged a minimum of 30 minutes labor charge. For example if a diagnosis process is completed in 25 minutes you will be charged for the half an hour. And if the diagnosis takes 45 min, you will be charged for 1 hour.
    Most of diagnosis take less than half an hour.
    Diagnosis Fee is waved if you agree to proceed withe the repairs.
    On Site diagnosis are charged in blocks of 30 min at $45 Dollars. *This diagnosis fee is waves if you agree to proceed with the servicing and repairs.

    We all live increasingly busy lives and it can be difficult to find spare time. We’ll happily collect and return your machine at absolutely no charge. Once your device/s are repaired we’ll call and arrange the best time to return your fixed machine. One less stress to worry about!

    We also do on spot servicing and repairs, but if it requires additional parts and extensive time frames we will collect the machine and repair it at our work shop and returned it within specified time frame.
